I am having some problems with tooth No 25?

I am having some problems with tooth No 25. Image 25_A explains what is the problem. The photo was done in December 2016, since then the tooth got even more sensitive, i.e. experiences a lot of pain if exposed to any heat or cold (tea or cold water).

I have visited one dentist in December and she wanted to kill the tooth immediately; she then changed her mind and said we should wait and see what happens, which is code for let’s let it die on it’s own.
Visited another one in January. She wasn’t sure also what to do — to open up the tooth or to wait.

The filling is quite big and it seems the nerve is swollen on is squeezed against the filling.
I would ideally like to save the tooth rather than killing it of the bat. What should be done?

Thank you

Hi
This is root abscess , so first step you take antibiotics and anti-inflammatory , and do the wait and see , doing the wait and see without medical treatment is unwise, you can always kill the root if pain is sever
Good Luck

hi,
i agree with you.
the tooth should be saved and definitely can be done.
you should get a second opinion from another dentist, preferably a orthodontist.
thanks

It’s a an abviously nerve affection
There is no need to remove it
Dentists can dig inside it and kill the nerve itself and put a specific material inside …

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

According to your x ray and the area marked it looks.like there is widening of Periodontal ligament space that is clear indication that you have Infection that is causing pain and sensitivity to hot and cold..

So my suggestion is that you should get the Root Canal Treatment of the tooth done followed by a script of antibiotics like Amoxicillin and anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen..

It should be followed by capping of your tooth..

This will be the most appropriate line of treatment..

Hope this helps..

This nerve will die on its own if left without treatment,it must be removed as if left ..the pain will subside later but it will form abcess and severe inflmmation ,it is commin in teeth 2,4,5.
