I fainted, hit my head, vomited black, now feel numbness?

I am a 44-year-old man not on any medications. I have had 2 spinal surgeries about 10 yrs ago but in otherwise generally good heath. I was working outside a week ago and suddenly passed out and when i woke up I started to throw up black after throwing up twice I passed back out. When i woke up again I realized I had hit my head and had a good size abrasion on my right temple. Ever sense this happened I have total numbness of my right thumb. Numbness to the point of painful. I have never passed out before or had numbness like this. Wondering what could be the cause of passing out the black vomit and now total numbness.

You need to be checked for a transient ischemic attack or acute stroke.
Get a brain MRI asap.

In my opinion you had GIT bleeding (due to liver problem or ulcer )which was sever that you fainted ,
numbness means that you could be having a brain concussion , i recmmend immediate endoscopy and CT scans

Good Luck

CT brain is mandatory now ASAP to make sure there is not intracranial hge pressing on your brain and causing lateralizing effect…

Regarding the black vomitus , may be there was internal nasopharengeal bleeding and it was ingested, just follow up any upcoming vomitus and your stool as well

hi
this may be due to internal cerebral bleeding.
trauma may have caused injury to brain causing raised intracranial tension and throwing up.
this may also be the reason for thumb numbness.
get a ct brain done to confirm
