I have low grade fever, that persists for 3 to even 6 months I cannot lead a normal life?

Hi, my name is (…). I’m 30 years old. Last 3 winters I have low grade fever, that persists for 3 to even 6 months. I have diagnosed Hashimoto’s and on eutirox medicine, with ups and downs of hormones. I’m told that fever can’t be from Hashimoto’s, but blood test didn’t show anything. I don’t know what to do. I’m feeling tired, sleepy… I cannot lead normal life.
Thank You very much!

hi,
these are side effects of hashimotos with hormonal disturbances.
Persistent fever for 6 months needs medical attention.
A detailed blood check up with hormonal assays,LFTS,complete hemogram and whole body scan is necessary to find out the site of focus of infection.
Blood culture will be helpful.
thanks

Low grade fever is common with many medical conditions, hashimoto’s disease is not one of them.
I recommend a new CBC test abd crp test..
If they are clear..then it could be chronic fatigue syndrome CFS or myalgic encephalomyelitis,it can be treated symptomatically ..
Feel better soon

Hi
Notice that if your on higher dose than you should of thyroxine to treat hashimoto then it can cause low grade persistant fever
Low grade persistant fever has many causes , however in your case you are showing no other significant symptom beside being tired and sleepy
Did you get in contact with animals lately?
So possibilitys are
No 1 Rickettsia which is caused by gram negative infection which means blood and urine cultures won t usually show it unless you are specifically looking for it
No 2 Chlamydia psittaci infection
No 3 HIV
No 4 Cancer
Good luck
