I have lump on breast, hospital refused to do the mammogram?

I am a 26yrs old, female. I found a marble size lump in my left breast. I told my doctor and she checked. She also felt the lump. She sent me for an ultrasound and a mammogram. But when i went to the hospital, i got through the ultrasound and they said all i have is a large amount of dense breast tissue and they refused to do the mammogram on me. It’s still in a lot of pain and I’m seeking a second opinion. Can someone please explain to me what my next step should be and how to ease my breast pain i have on a regular basis?

No way trying to ease a pain with a lump on breast tissue…until well diagnosed..if you did Ultra sound

Breast ultrasound can help your doctor determine whether a breast lump is fluid-filled or solid. A fluid-filled area usually indicates a breast cyst. A solid-appearing mass most likely is a noncancerous lump, such as a fibroadenoma, but solid lumps also could be breast cancer.
See your US report..
To make sure what is there you can directly go for a needle aspiration from the tissue to stat assured of what is going on …

hi
at your age, painful lumps are not expected. dense fibrous breast tissue wont be painful. the fact that it has pain associated, this definitely needs attention. next step has to be a mammogram.
a few blood investigations need to be done too. take anti inflammatory tablets for temporary pain relief.
thanks

HI
IT MAY BE A BLOCKED LACTULAR GLAND WITH STAGNANT MILK INSIDE. USUALLY THESE GET DRAINED OUT BY GENTLE SQUEEZING. USG MAY HAVE CONFIRMED THAT NOTHING ABNORMAL IS THERE . SO MAMMOGRAM WASNT ADVISED I GUESS

hello there
mammogram is absolutely essential in any form of breast lumps. risk should not be taken . often simple lumps are misdiagnosed on usg. do get mammogram from another hospital
