I was hiy by a car when I was 7, why is one calf growing bigger than the other?

I am wondering why one calf might grow bigger than the other? I was hit by a car when I was 7 and the left leg got cut by the license plate in my upper inside thigh. I thought maybe this could be why? I’ve been to the dr and had an mri and seen a vein dr and they all saw nothing. But since 2012 it has been growing a little more every year without exercise. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am 26

hi
the old injury may have cause damage to the veins in the leg causing blockage of venous blood drainage causing the calf to swell.
other possibility is that a deep vein thrombosis may have occured recently which can occur spontaneously without any reason.
get venous doppler study of that limb done to confirm.
thanks

Hi…
If your calf is growing more than the other..it is usually nothing to worry unless there is other symptoms like parathesia or loss of sensation..loss of muscle power.odema..different coloration…generally you can do EMG to make sure if there is something wring with it..

HI
MUSCLE DYSTROPHY CAN BE A POSSIBILITY. APART FROM IT LYMPHATIC SYSTEM BLOCKAGE CAN BE CONSIDERED. USG OF THE CALF WILL SHOW THE EXACT SITE OF SWELLING. MUSCLE BIOPSY WILL CONFIRM THE DIAGNOSIS

hello there
if the old trauma was deep enough and had damaged your muscles at that time, then such muscles usually tend to undergo hypertrophy at a later stage when your overall immunity falls down.
if the calf is not painful, then you should just apply local creams and compression bandage
