No babies heart rate but still hear placenta
I was told yesterday that my baby has no heart rate at 38 weeks and 3 days. I can still hear the placenta today working hard and beating away at around 120 bpm. Is this normal? Or could the baby’s heart rate be so low that it was. It heard? I was induced yesterday and sent home- have to return to hospital tomorrow to deliver a dead baby, so need an answer as soon as possible.

Have you done neonatal ultrasound sound ??
Placenta beats I think he means the mother’s beats , where the blood is successfully perfused across the placenta

Hi
Sorry but there is no chance your baby’s heart rate is 120 , you should go on with the early delivery
Sorry

I am so sorry to hear about the problem but if you doubt then before you proceed for delivery you can once again reconfirm by getting a fetal ultrasound done..
If unfortunately there is no heartbeat then there is no other option then delivering the baby as soon as possible..
Be strong..

You need to check why this happened and try to fix in the upcoming pregnancies

Sorry about that but you have to abort ,get examined thereafter to know the cause and treat the problem in the next time.

Was there a fetal ultrasound done? You can ask your doctor to double check with another
ultrasound. So you can rest assured.
