It really depends on the exact type of tumor. Also, it’s not true that it’s very difficult to do surgery in people above 60. There are many options and surgery is one of a number of treatment options usually used in combination.

In my opinion many factors contribute like what are his glucose levels? and is there tumour traces in cerebral fluild ? You said it is not within the brain , so is it in the brain membranes ( which is better )?
Any way if your oncologist suggest not preforming surgery then he will likely do radiation therapy

Good Luck

Clinically his vital signs ..blood pressure and diabetic control are the factors to decide surgery plus kidney and liver functions .. Not the age I mean.
Radiation therapy is the choice if surgery is not applicable.

Hi,
if the tumor is in stage 1 or 2,surgery has excellent results and should be done with proper sugar control.
If it is associated with metastasis, the chemotherapy, radiotherapy are the options.
Thanks

HI
AT THIS AGE,BETTER TO AVOID SURGERY.
DEPENDS ON THE SIZE OF THE TUMOR. CHEMOTHERAPY CAN BE GIVEN IF SURGERY CANNOT BE PERFORMED OF IF UNADVISABLE.

hello there
considering his age and diabetes, better to avoid surgery,. but this solely depends on the type and size of the tumor. exact location of the tumor should be assessed.
radiotherapy can be helpful.
