My mother is 72 when she stands up for a little while she wants to pass out?

My mother is 72 and was generally healthy until few months ago…she had breast cancer 8 years ago but is in remission….she have done tests yearly….in April she had an light stroke….afterwards she seemed fine, but now she is very tired all the time and when she stands up for a little while, she wants to pass out. She loves coffee, but suddenly developed a very strong aversion towards it…so bad that if she smells it, she want to throw up. She also has a very bad constant cough. She did blood tests, but everything came back as normal and the dr said that they did not find anything wrong…..they tested for iron and magnesium deficiency, thyroid function and a full blood count…they also tested for cancer…I am very worried about her because something is definitely wrong….and now she does not want to go back. Can you please tell me where to go next

HI
IF ALL HER TESTS HAVE COME BACK NORMAL,THEN EVEN I FEEL THAT THERE IS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.
YOU CAN GIVE HER IV FLUIDS WITH VITAMIN SUPPLEMENTS TO GIVE HER REQUIRED ENERGY.

In my opinion ..your mother’s problems are multiple system involvement due to aging process.

If all test results are negative including cancer remission then it is normal to have this after stroke and aging as the blood vessels and lung capabilities and capacities decrease..
If she can be a bit active to walk andild exercise it is going to help her..
Usually monitor for blood pressure abnormalities.
Plenty of water and balanced diet.

I hope this helps you..
Thanks..

hello there,
this may be age related electrolyte imbalance with vitamin deficiencies.
get her electrolytes checked ( NA,K,Ca).
blood pressure needs to be monitored.
postural hypertension needs to be considered.

In my opinion this is called caffeine withdrawal, it can cause Dizziness, Heart Rhythm Abnormalities which can cause orthostatic hypotension , depression and flu like symptoms
This can last for 1 month
Just check her heart by doing an ecg to be safe

Good Luck
