Hi
Having parathyroid on the aortic arch is quite risky per se. It may cause thinning of the aortic wall and cause the aorta to rupture anytime. It should definitely be removed to avoid further complications. Consult a good cardiothoracic surgeon and get the parathyroid separated from the arch. It can be partially preserved iif possible.
Thanks

HI
IT WONT CAUSE HEART ATTACK AS SUCH BUT IT WILL DEFINITELY CAUSE HEMATOLOGICAL PROBLEMS TO THE AORTA IN FUTURE. IT MAY CAUSE PARTIAL OR COMPLETE BLOCKAGE OF AORTA IF IT INCREASES IN SIZE. ITS BETTER IF YOU GET IT REMOVED. PERFORM A ANGIOGRAPHY BEFORE GOING FOR THE SURGERY

hello there
such lesions are not known to cause heart attacks, though in some rae cases, there are chances.
its very much complicated and dangerous to remove it from the arch. If the arch of aorta is damaged during the surgery then it may cause deadly complications. My suggestion would be,if you have no symptoms,do not get it removed. Just keep a watch ,if it increases in size

Hi and welcome to question doctors.com
Heart attack is not of the complications of hyper parathyroidism …generally Osteoporosis and the increased risk for bone fractures is the most common concern.

Other complications are less common, but may include:

Nephrocalcinosis (calcium deposits in the kidneys that can reduce kidney function)
Osteitis fibrosa cystica (softened, weak areas in the bones)
Are known complications…

Increased hypercalcemia can can irregular heart beat… But if you have these symptoms I strongly recommend a surgery if medical treatment is not doing the deal…
