I have knee pain when standing up?

I have knee pain when standing up. Usually happens at work because I have to stand up all day long. Pain is on the back side of my right knee. I tried nsaids as well as compresses. helps a little but not much. Please provide your opinion.

Hello. Imaging would be required to pinpoint the problem. However based on the information you provided seems to be related to wear and tear or overuse. Ideally, periods of rest would help as well as ant-inflammatory medication. Also strengthening the muscles surrounding the knee would be of outmost importance since stronger muscles would support your movements and reduce the pain. A physical therapist would be a solution for you. As such, a qualified physical therapist could establish a proper and suitable muscle building therapy for you. Regards
