I have scabies i have taking med 4 times and they say its safe to go awround family that they wouldnt get it. Its not true so i dint know What to believe so my question is.first i want to say im healthy and very clean hygen. Will they go away by them selfs.

scabies is contagious and any of your family may get it if proper precautions are not taken. its good that u maintain a good hygiene. apply local creams and take the prescribed medicines. you will be cured of it

YEAH, IT WILL GO AWAY BY ITSELF AS LONG AS YOU MAINTAIN GOOD HYGIENE. KEEP AWAY YOUR FOMITES AND SEGREGATE THEM FROM YOUR FAMILY. THEN NO ONE WILL HAVE SCABIES IN UR FAMILY. USE OINTMENT LOCALLY

About your family to catch it ot not..The skin-to-skin contact needs to be for a reasonable time to catch the mite. You usually need to be in skin contact for 15-20 minutes to catch scabies. Therefore, you are unlikely to catch scabies from an infected person by casual short contact such as a handshake or a hug. The more mites there are, the faster they can spread to another person.
