How effective is Tarceva for cancer? My doctor prescribed tarceva after a few months of 1st line chemo and second line chemo which now is no longer working. But says tarceva might not do much. Is that right?

Tarceva – Erlotinib hydrochloride- is a targeted therapy that attaches itself to cancerous cells. As a 3rd line of defense I would say Tarceva has a 1 on 5 chance of success. This of course varies from patient to patient and depending on type of cancer and development stage.
