I have an allergy for dust mites and about two times a year the symptoms get much worse. Just like it did two weeks ago. But now when I cough I suddenly have to endure pain in the back of my head at the height of my right ear, but a bit more to the middle of the back of my head.
I added a photo to indicate where the pain is.
It feels like it stings me and then the pain stays for about 20 minutes. After that it slowly drifts away.
It is the worst in the morning and in the evening and it is getting worse by the day.
I am a 19 year old guy.
well, this pain does not seem to be related to the dust mite allergy.
Inflammation of a cranial nerve or inner ear neuritis may cause these symptoms.
Get a MRI brain done .
A ENT specialists opinion will be helpful.
Thanks
Hi
If you are in cortison for your allergy then you should suspect cervical vertebra problem , spondylitis can occur in such young age if you are on strong antiallergic medications .
I recommend a cervical MRI look for problems in C1/2, C2/3
Good Luck
This pain could be due to severe coughing causing accessory neck muscles to be spasmed..or strained causing guarding spasm.
Or increasing the intrathecal pressure of the cervical spines leading to disc lesion..
Get a MRI neck done..
Ur ear need to be examined, may be u r having otitis media, also check ur viual acuity
