Hi there, is this an erupted cold sore or a pimple? This is directly after I popped it and blood and pus came out on the corner of the lip. I occasionally have these single bumps on the lip in isolation and would like to know which of the two it is.

Looks like a pimple. The liquid from a cold sore is clear. Pus and blood would come from a pimple. Also don’t pop it – you may not be getting rid of it all and just forcing it deeper. keep the area clean and try not touching the area with your fingers.

I have viewed your image and it looks like either a pimple or can be an hair follicle infection..
No the appearance is not like a cold sore as it appears as a cluster of fluid filled blisters..
So my suggestion is to apply antiseptic ointment over it like Neosporin or Soframycin and do not touch it again and again.
It will get better in next 3-4 days.
