Left flank pain due to Congenital PUJ obstruction. Both kidney function are normal. 4 renal scans have been done. Some doctors advice surgery. Some say surgery not needed. Flank pain is frequent and bothersome. My age is 38 years and I am a Male.

Surgical intervention is needed when there is impaired renal function and other symptoms like severe pain that is not managed satisfactory with medication..
So on case if the renal function is normal and there is no urinary obstruction then surgery can be avoided..
But in case if pain is severe along with other symptoms then Surgery can be done..

HI.If the symptoms are persistent and troublesome you should get operated.There are many recent advances in treatment which are less invasive. Discus it with your Urologist and take decision based on your medical condition.
