Bone Fixation is best done first when re implantation is done. Due to the location or nature of amputation – or lack of time or resources, ER surgeon may have decided otherwise or deemed it not necessary. You need to consult an Orthopedic Surgeon or Plastic Surgeon to evaluate the re implantation procedure – to see if it takes – and decide next appropriate step. This should be done as soon as possible.

Hi.
Thanks for the query..

The severed finger and the underlying bone should be surgically re-implanted within 12 hours of its detachment from the body.

So you should immediately consult an Orthopedic surgeon and get evaluated.

As if the time is passing by you might need surgical intervention on an immediate an Emergency basis to avoid the loss of finger..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
