I am sunburned on various areas of my body, taken Benadryl with no results yet?

I am almost 62, 5’6, 230lbs. I was at beach until three days ago and did get sunburned on various areas of my body. This morning I woke up with pain between my ankle and mid calf on the inside of my right leg. This area was very red with heat. By mid morning the pain, redness, and heat had increased. Along with swelling in one area and a raised rash that had spread to just below knee. No itching involved. Pain is localized to one area. I have taken Benadryl with no results yet.

hi
sunburns wont go away with just benadryl. u need to apply local soothing creams and nourishing moisturising solutions. avoid applying hot water .
olive oil application would be helpfull.
thanks

hello there
this may probably not be just sunburns. an associated skin infection cannot be completely ruled out. apply steroid based cream to reduce the inflammation and avoid using rough clothes that may rub against the lesions.
these lesions heal well by exposing to fresh air

That’s a first degree sunburn ..you can stay with benadryl..try soaking the wound in cool water for five minutes or longer. taking acetaminophen or ibuprofen for pain relief. applying lidocaine with aloe vera gel..

HI
THERE SEEMS TO BE INFLAMMATION OF THE SUNBURN THATS CAUSING REDNESS AND SORENESS. APPLY STEROID BASED ANTI INFLAMMATORY CREAMS. DO NOT WET THE BURNS FREQUENTLY. MOISTURISING AGENTS AND SKIN SOOTHENING SOLUTIONS SHOULD BE APPLIED AFTER BATH AND BEFORE SLEEPING
