Hi
At 35 weeks pregnancy, you are almost on the verge of delivering a baby. Due to peak effect of the hormones at this time, your body has swollen. This, and the pelvic pain, is normal for pregnancy and is expected. If you have any other difficulty related to urinary tract, then you can contact ER. Otherwise, all the symptoms will fade away after delivery.
Thanks
Hi and welcome to question doctors.com It’s quite common but not always normal – the area has a higher blood supply so some swelling is common. HI
PAINFUL PELVIS DOES OCCUR AT THE END STAGES OF PREGNANCY AS THE SIZE OF THE BABY INSIDE IS INCREASING. THIS CAUSES STRETCHING PRESSURE ON THE PELVIC LIGAMENTS. SWELLING TOO IS EXPECTED OVER THE LABIA,BUT YOU SHOULD BE BLE TO SEE INSIDE FOR SURE. THIS MAY HAPPEN DUE TO SALT AND FLUID RETENTION IN YOUR BODY. CONSULT YOUR OBSTETRICIAN AND GET BLOOD INVESTIGATIONS DONE IF ADVICED.
hello there
in later stages of pregnancy, due to back pressure of the baby over the inferior vena cava, the venous blood accumulates to a large extent in the legs and genital region. This may cause such kind of swelling. It will gradually wear off after the delivery. pelvic pain is expected due to pressure from the baby inside . analgesics are not recommended. You can apply local creams.
