I read from the novel of Camus called “The Plague” that before spreading epidemic of plague it is seemed everywhere mice. Nowadays in my village (Sharafa, Masally, Azerbaijan (it is a post-soviet country on the cost of Caspian sea)) everybody gripes about mice in houses. I didn’t heard that anyone has felt ill yet. What can we do in advance?

The presence of Mice in a spread way is a cause of the spread of infections and diseases but it is not necessary to be an epidemic ,the presence of rats or mice widely helps spreading infections and diseases as this means the area is not clean … so what you have to do is following the enviromental measures to kill them and clean the area from garbage and so on…
at home… keep houses clean use anti bacterial products on floors and surface,well wash utensils and do not food uncovered or not in a fridge…

YOU SHOULD HAVE SOME SYMPTOMS LIKE FEVER CHILLS TO SAY ITS PLAGUE AT PRESENT I DONT SEE ANY SIGNS. RELAX DONT WORRY

you can take precautions like keeping the house clean, use pest control, avoid dumping unwanted material. even if a single mice is found then it should be removed from the home and segregated.
avoid going in crowded public places. see if any preventive vaccine is available in the pharmacy.
