Hi
pain, stiffness and crooked neck can be caused by prolapse of intervertebral disc.
It can also be caused due to severe muscular spasm.
The diagnosis depends on your history, duration of illness and the progress. An MRI will help to confirm the diagnosis.
Thanks

HI
ITS NOT THAT CROOKED ON XRAY,BUT CLINICALLY IT MAY BE MORE. IT CAN HAPPEN DUE TO FUSED BARS IN BETWEEN THE VERTEBRAE OR SOME MUSCULAR STRAIN. A LATERAL NECK XRAY WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE USEFUL AS THE CERVICAL LORDOSIS IS BEST SEEN ON A LATERAL XRAY. DO POST A LATERAL XRAYY IF YOU HAVE ONE.

hello there
crooked neck and pain in surrounding area is suggestive of a pinched nerve in the neck region. Though the xray shows that all disc spaces are normal, mri will show if the disc has prolapsed posteriorly compressing the adjoining nerve roots. To relieve pain, the attitude of neck becomes crooked

If the muscle spasm are gone.. will the neck becomes normal like without any crooked structure?
