I am trying to keep my liver enzymes in normal range for upcoming blood test?

I am trying to keep my liver enzymes in normal range for upcoming blood test. They were normal in April – AST was 32, ALT was 28, at that time I was drinking maybe 4 or 5 pints of beer on weekends. Since, I have been consuming a bit more, only on weekends (6-10 pints on weekends). My blood test is next Friday (8 days from now), and I have not had any alcohol since sunday (4 days ago). Is it likely my liver levels will rise from this? Or generally remain in the same range? I am a healthy male, 44 yrs….I am not over weight and exercise daily.

Hi..
Too much alcohol can damage your liver and can cause deranged enzyme values but if the changes are acute they can even turn back to normal range..
So it is better for you to avoid drinking alcohol not temporarily but permanently..
Also if the values are not in normal limit in your next blood test it is better to get proper management done to keep the liver healthy and avoid further damage..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
