I have an enlarged heart, had stabbing pain in left chest, what do you think?

I’m currently under going a breathing problem since January I’ve had ct scan and breathing test. I saw my consultant last week and he said something about enlarge heart. Earlier this afternoon I had stabbing pain in my left chest that lasted about a minute and now left me bruised and more breathless. What do you think?

HI That would be a musculoskeletal origin pain and could be a cardiac origin pain… that depends on whether there is other symptoms or not? do you have sweating? do you have pain in your left arm or upper left back or shoulder? do you have Blood pressure abnormality? if you answered yes to any of these then you need to see a cardiologist for ECG and May be echo.. hi..
it seems to be related to heart and not the lungs. the heart can be enlarged due to variety of reasons like valvular heart diseases,pulmonary hypertension etc.I suggest you should consult a cardiologist and get the necessary investigations like ecg,echocardiography ,angiography done .

THIS CAN BE NEURITIC PAIN. MANY TIMES SUCH PAIN OCCURS DUE TO NERVE INFLAMMATION IN THE CONCERNED PARTS.ENLARGED HEART BY DEFAULT IS NOT PAINFUL BUT IN LATE STAGES MAY CAUSE SIMILAR PROBLEMS. TAKE ANALGESIC TABLETS IF THE PAIN IS UNBEARABLE
