I have elevated liver enzymes and had an ultrasound recently conducted. Here are the results:
Hepatomegaly with hepatic steatosis and/or hepatocellular disease. Difficult to assess the liver due to limited acoustic penetration from the fatty liver.
Was told that the most likely cause of elevated liver enzymes was Non-alcoholic Fatty liver Disease. What do the results mean?
Hi..
It looks like fat infiltration in the liver and is pointing towards fatty liver..
You can go for further investigations like MRI SCAN, Liver Biopsy.
Once further confirmation is done treatment can be initiated..
Hope this helps..
