I looked at the solar eclipse for 5 or so seconds will it affect my eyesight?

I looked at the solar eclipse for 5 or so seconds through clouds without really realizing. Should I see a doctor asap? Will I go blind? I have bad anxiety and I’m freaking out about it now. I didn’t like STARE but I definitely looked for more than a few seconds.

Do your eyes feel funny? Lubricate your eyes with refresh eye drops, then go to the doctor.

Hi..
Yes, it is true that viewing a solar eclipse with naked eye can be damaging to the eye and can even lead to Solar Retinopathy..

Although very short duration is generally not severely damaging..

It can take for a few hours to days for symptoms to appear..

So can you tell me that it is how long that you were exposed?
Do you see any changes in your vision?
Any disturbances in viewing colours?

Please write back..

Regards.

Hi..
If you still doubt you can once consult an Ophthalmologist and get a retinal examination done..

Hope this helps..
