I used Epsom salt in a foot bath a week ago to treat my ingrown toenail?

Hi I used Epsom salt in a foot bath a week ago to treat my ingrown toenail. Afterwards I got muscle cramps and numbness in my legs and feet and they have not gone away Do you think that this will go away if I Continue to wait or do I need to see a doctor immediately? is epsom salt safe to use?

I don’t believe soaking your foot or feet in Epsom salt water can cause these problems. First, you can try to stretch and massage your legs and feet and apply warm and cold compresses (in alteration). If this doesn’t solve the problem within a couple of days, you should consult for additional investigation. You will need a physical exam, blood tests and imaging tests.
