I am 33 years old male. Taking medications for hypertension. Recently took a blood test and everything was normal except cholesterol. I was having dark and thickened spots in my finger skin for few months. Now it’s started to crackle. I have attached the picture.

this seems to be dermatitis with associated dry skin. apply moisturising creams along with steroid based local gels for faster recovery.
do not rub or scratch.

THIS IS DUE TO SOME FORM OF ALLERGY TO SKIN. TAKE ANTI HISTAINIC TABLETS. APPLY STEROID- ANTI HISTAMINIC CREAM COMBINATIONS TO THE AFFECTED PART 2 TIMES A DAY FOR 10 DAYS.

Darn Cracking skin on only the hands and finger joints can be caused simply by contact allergies or due to some habits like smoking or working a hard work job , by using too little moisturizer or by frequent hand washing. However, continued cracking, deep fissures, bleeding or no improvement with extra moisturizing may signify a more serious skin condition, usually a type of eczema.
I recommend you would see a dermatologist if using moisturizers and over the counter steriod creams fails..
