Is it safe to take both Tylenol Acetaminophen and Aleve Naproxen at the same time?

I heard that Tylenol (Acetaminophen) is better for headaches and Aleve is better to reduce inflammation. Is it safe to take both Acetaminophen Tylenol and Naproxen Aleve at the same time? What about taking Aleve and Advil at the same time?

Yes, Tylenol and Aleve can be taken at the same time and can be quite effective together. Tylenol will help reduce fever and relieve pain. Aleve can do the same and reduce inflammation as well. Of course, staying within the recommended dosages is important. What you should not do is take Aleve with Ibuprofen (Advil) or with Aspirin. Because they are all NSAIDs Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs and it would be like doubling up. Since NSAIDs are broken down by the kidneys, taken together they can also cause stomach problems.
