Hello. Im female 25. I’ve had a case of optic neuritis mid June and last week i’ve had an MRI. The results say that i’ve got an unspecific character punctiform lesion suprateritorially on the right side. its a hyperintensity punctiform lesion in T2 and FLAIR. My neurologist says im just fine. Am I though?

Hi..
Can you first tell me that what were your exact symptoms?
Is there improvement in the symptoms or are still the same?
Any associated symptoms?
What medication are you on?
Please revert back..

Hi.
Another thing that I would like you to tell is that the presence of a few hyperintense punctate foci in the cerebral white matter at MRI is a very common finding that can be regarded as insignificant in most of the cases. These bright dots, considered as normal, can be a manifestation
of dilated perivascular spaces or small gliotic or lacunar ischemic foci.
So for this reason your Neuro said that you are fine..
Regards.
