Question: Soreness in both my thighs and knees

I am a 49 yr old male, in good shape and used to physical activities. Last four weeks I’ve had a soreness in both my thighs and knees, but only when I flex the muscles. Standing or sitting I feel nothing, but sitting down is very painful, from the knees and halfway up the front of the thighs. It is very similar to the soreness you get the day after a hard workout in the gym. No swelling, no fever, no rash, no hot areas. No medication and no activities for weeks, but the pain still remains.

Its because ur knees are getting into 1st stage of arthritis. Calcium deficiency can be another issue.
Get xrays of both knees done. Get blood calcium checked

Hi..
Since your pain is 4 weeks old and comes only with sitting down..then you are having pain with muscle eccentric contraction only which is a sign of either a jumpers knee or an overload quadriceps strain which might be due to over activity or doing something unusual for your body..
See what have you been doing the last four weeks as a new or uncommon effort.
Try kinesiotaping of your both quadriceps for a while.
