I have attacks of severe upper abdominal pain that feels like pancreatitis the doctors don’t know what’s wrong?

I’m a 29 year old female, I have attacks of severe upper abdominal pain that feels like pancreatitis but all my blood tests and scans have been normal apart from a spike of bilirubin and persistently high red blood count , the Drs don’t know what’s wrong with me! I’ve had acute pancreatitis 3 times in the past , I used to binge drink in my teens. I had my gallbladder out when I was 18, a hysterectomy and appendectomy last year.

In my opinion you have one of 3 possibilities
1- check for peptic ulcer from smoking
2- check for splenomegaly
3- visit an oncologist for a pit scan ( possible tumour )

Good Luck

For me …you need to be examined for gastritis by an endoscopy .
Is there any symptoms?

hi
recurrent pancreatitis can cause these symptoms.
if usg is normal,ct scan of abdomen with contrast can be done to confirm the diagnosis.
thanks

HI
THIS CAN BE DUE TO GERD
GET GASTROINTESTINAL ENDOSCOPY DONE.
IF NEEDED A BIOPSY MAY BE TAKEN FROM THE INTERNAL MUCOSAL LINING TO CONFIRM THE DIAGNOSIS.

hello there
pancreatitis seems to be less likely.
mostly hiatus hernia or severe gastritis can cause these symptoms.
take antacids and prebiotic tablets.
