Aching pain I have had in my left leg?

Hello, I’m inquiring about aching pain I have had in my left leg, for about months now. It centres around a hard lump I have under the knee cap, which is constantly aching (I have gotten X-rays on this and was told it was from a prior injury which I don’t remember having an injury ever) and the aching goes from my hip right down to my ankle. It aches when I walk on it and aches even more when I try to lay down for bed. I’ve tried Alieve with fail and tried Robaxacette which seemed to help a bit with the pain. I’m wondering if u could maybe give me some advice on what may be causing this and if I should get to the doctor. Thank you

hi
the pain seems to be related to a localised knee pathology or a prolapsed intervertebral disc in the lumbar spine. You need to get a mri of knee and a mri of lumbar spine to come to a perfect diagnosis. you should see a orthopedist and get the necessary investigations done.
thanks

HI
IT MAY BE A LOCALISED PAIN AT KNEE THAT MAY BE RADIATING TO THE HIPS AND ANKLES. IF XRAY DOESNT REVEAL ANYTHING,THAT DOESNT MEAN THAT THE KNEE IS NORMAL. FURTHER INVESTIGATIONS LIKE MRI,ARTHOSCOPY NEED TO BE DONE

Hi abd welcome to question doctors.com
I think it would be a mixed pathology… A lumbar disc lesion and a localized knee bursitis or muscle strain…
A MRI on the back and an examination with a good orthopedist for bursitis and muscle strains would help…
Try using heat packs and massage on your back and hips ..

hello there
there may be a compressed nerve in your back causing it to get inflammed. such inflammed nerves cause radiating pain in the legs. anti inflammatory tablets with physiotherapy should be very helpful. avoid taking painkillers for long periods of time
