For years now I’ve been suffering from extreme bladder pain. I’ve had numerous tests including an ultrasound and camera into my bladder. It flares up every few months usually and it feels just like interstitial cystitis. But it’s not. Sometimes when it’s bad (like now) it bleeds when I urinate too. The doctors came to a dead end and stopped caring so now I just deal with it but it’s so excruciating and it means I’m unable to attend work when it’s bad. I’m only 22 and this has severely affected my life for years. I’m reluctant to have surgery unless they know the cause.

i do understand your concern that at such a young age, you have been experiencing such symptoms.
i agree with you that you should not get operated unless you are diagnosed properly.
i would suggest you to do a histopathology of the bladder wall mucosa , that will confirm the diagnosis at root level
