I experience pain in my right shoulder everytime I raise my arm over my head or put a shirt or coat on. I have been told that glucosamine pills will help and maybe even cure this. Should I use glucosamine? Can I get your opinion on this.

Recent studies have shown that use of glucosamine supplements have no effect on pain or joint pain relief. Glucosamine simply doesn’t work. In your case you seem to be suffering from a probable adhesive capsulitis – also known as frozen shoulder. To prevent and help reduce frozen shoulder it is best to use exercise. A physical therapist will provide you with a few simple exercises such as crossover arm stretch or raised arm stretch that will greatly reduce the pain and improve mobility.
