hi,
this could be either a calcium apatite or pyrophosphate deposition or an autoimmune disorder.
i recommend starting with calcium, CRP labs to follow me up with the results.

Hi
My opinion this May be nonarticular rheumatism , I recommend seeing a rheumatologist , other cause can be renal problems
Good Luck

Hi..
For ruling out the cause following investigations can be done:
CBC count,Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR),Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH),Electrolytes, calcium, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), Creatinine..

Other important tests can be
Antinuclear antibody (ANA) for systemic autoimmune disease (Many false-positive tests have been reported.)
Rheumatoid factor (RF) for rheumatoid arthritis or immune complex disease
Creatine kinase (CK) for myositis etc..

After a detailed investigation only appropriate diagnosis and treatment can be planned..

Regards..
