Good day i am a 27 yr old male with painful swelling in both calfs and behind both knee. I have had a bi lateral anterior faciotomy and ankle spurs removed from both legs but approximately 18 months post op the pain is getting worse and i have very limited mobility in my ankles. I have spent 7 years in the Canadian armed forces which required alot of running and ruck marches prior to the start of this pain 2 -3 years ago. I have been to see physio, osteopathists, surgions, reumotologists and the pain clinic. All doctors i have seen say there is a large amount of swelling in my calfs but have all been puzzled as to why. Thank you for your time.

Would you please let me know the current status of your lover limb veins ?
Have you done any investigations like duplex for them?
Is there any varicose veins?
Do you stand up for long time?
Can you send your question with a photo of your swelling and surrounding skin?
Hi
This is varicose veins I am almost 100% sure, they have been dealing with your problem as a muscle fibrosis and inflamation problem which is clearly not the case, have a dopplar done
Good Luck
Hi..
Thanks for the query .
Please get the x rays and MRI scan done to confirm the diagnosis..
Once the reports are out you should upload it here so that the cause can be confirmed and treatment can be done..
Hope this helps..
