hi
a varicocele in itself is known to cause low infertility and decreased sperm count,if left untreated. Surgery ,by itself wont cause infertility. Depends on how well and meticulously the surgery is performed though. Thanks

HI
IF THE SPERM COUNTS ARE NORMAL AND HEALTHY THEN YOU NEED NOT WORRY. LONG LASTING VARICOCELES ARE KNOWN TO CAUSE INFERTILITY. MICROSURGERY,AS A PROCEDURE COULD AFFECT THE QUALITY OF SPERMS. YOU NEED TO STAY HEALTHY AND EAT NUTRITIOUS FOOD TO MAINTAIN GOOD SPERM COUNT.

Hi and welcome to questiondictors.com
Yes varicocelectomy is mainly done to improve make fertility… The complications of having an untreated varicocele is raising the temperature of the testicles and thus causing sperm problems…

hello there
there should be some improvement in your fertility after the surgery. But,at present you do not seem to have any major issue with your fertility. get the sperm tests done 3 months after the surgery is done. This will give you a clue about the chances of fertility improvement as a result of surgery
