I woke up muffled hearing and ear ringing in my right ear, is it serious?

I woke up this morning with muffled hearing and ear ringing in my right ear. It has not gone away and it’s now night. The muffled hearing causes slight hearing loss and fluctuates. It eases when when sitting and gets worse when standing. My ear is also slightly numb. There is no pain or drainage. Should I wait for my appointment in the morning or is this something more serious?

You need to get this checked out by an ENT right away. A cortisone shot administered early can make the whole difference in preventing possible permanent hearing loss.

hi
a nerve in your ear might have been inflammed. cover the ears by cotton buds to keep them warm.
take anti inflammatory tablets. if the symptoms remain as they are, and do not increase, they you can definitely wait till morning.
thanks

HI
A DISPLACED ACCUMULATED WAX IN THE EAR WITH AN HIDDEN DORMANT OTITIS MEDIA CAN CAUSE THIS.
IF THE SYMPTOMS DONT WORSEN YOU CAN WAIT TILL TOMORROW AND GET IT ANALYSED FROM A ENT DOCTOR
SURELY SHOULD NOT BE NEGLECTED
