I’ve been short of breath, I’ve had a tight feeling in my chest?

I’ve been short of breath, I’ve had a tight feeling in my chest, I feel like I can’t get any air so I’m gasping for air, out of breath after I’ve done anything and no energy. It’s been since yesterday. I’ve never had it before so I’m very worried. Any advice on what it could be?. Thanks

Looks like the beginning of a bronchitis. Since you are diabetic and have had cold symptoms for a awhile, better speak to your doctor. Bronchitis can lead to complications more frequently for diabetics. Treatment should be adapted to your condition. If you have high fever, vomiting, diarrhea or trouble breathing you should consult right away. A “tight feeling” in the chest is also something that needs consulting.

My GP is closed for the weekend. Do I need to get to the hospital?. Could it be my heart?

It seems to be only an infection – bronchitis. But it really depends on your symptoms. If they get worse, if you have pain in chest, neck, jaw or pain radiating up your arm, you may want to consult earlier.
