I’ve had pain in my throat, but it’s been spreading?

For the past several weeks, I’ve had pain in my throat, but it’s been spreading. At first it was in my throat itself, at the front deep down closer to where my neck reaches my torso. Because my teeth are falling apart and I can’t hardly chew food, I thought maybe it was sore from under-chewing food, but that was before the pain has spread. It feels like the entire front of my neck and now even the top of my chest around my neck are sensitive and I sort of feel like I’m being strangled when something touches near the base of my neck.

I’m male, aged 37. I have never smoked, neither cigarettes nor marijuana, and very rarely drink alcohol. I have never huffed anything. I’m not sure what might be causing this pain.

Hi and welcome to question doctors.com
This pain seems to be related to a chest/cardiac origin ..if you developed cough then it would be a upper respiratory tract inflammation which only needs antibiotics and avoid cold weather…
If you developed any symptoms in your chest as tightness or sternum discomfort then you need to see a cardiologist .
1st of all a ENT specialist can rule out airway inflammation..otherwise see a cardiologist if the pain persisted…
