I was diagnosed with Restless Leg Syndrome I feel the urge in my legs to move and stretch them almost all the time?

Hello, I was diagnosed with Restless Leg Syndrome, because I feel the urge in my legs to move and stretch them almost all the time. Because the stretching is actually helping, I want to ask if device like Night Splint which will hold my leg at 90 degrees and apply light stretch all night can help me with RLS?

hi,
yes,such splints will surely help.
get an MRI of lumbar spine done to rule out a pinched nerve due to a slipped disc.
you can even apply a leg traction at home.
physical therapy will help.
thanks

As a physical therapist I do not recommend splinting at all ..it may cause complications concerning skin and blood vessels due to night time compression even nerve compression which can worsen your symptoms..
I recommend
Leg massages
Hot baths or heating pads or ice packs applied to the legs
Good sleep habits
A vibrating pad called Relaxis
Avoid caffeine and tobaccos.
Treating the underlying condition if present .
Yoga before sleeping
Stick to regular sleeping time and exercise time.

Hi
Splinting is a bad idea it can relief at first then it may worsen your condition
I recommend an alternative, try buerger-allen exercise before sleep it is done the form of leg elevation +ankle pump exercise then sudden foot drop below bed level it is done just before sleep
, also try identify the cause, anemia , diabetes or too much caffeine
Good Luck
