Does taking prednsolone change the antibodies you have already acquired for an old herpes 2 infection?

Does taking prednsolone change the antibodies your have already acquired for an old herpes 2 infection as I will be using it while pregnant for the first 3 months of pregnancy starting from when I transfer embryo till I am 3 months along then I will stop using it. will baby still get protection from my herpes antibodies like abnormal baby while inside me.

Hi and welcome to question doctors.com There is no enough research on that issue generally prednisolone has variable effect on antibodies of different diseases.. In dome cases it acts in old antibodies and causes flare ups… But if you have had herpes and you are pregnant and currently no infection then your baby risk to be affected by herpes is very low… the virus will be only in the birth canal if the infection is fresh (this is the only risk for the baby to get it).. hi,
prednisolone usually doesnt affect any antibodies that your body has already acquired earlier. prednisolone has temporary effects and wont have any adverse effects unless you are low on immunity.

IT DEPENDS ON YOUR IMMUNITY AND THE DOSAGE OF PREDNISOLONE . USUALLY IT DOES NOT AFFECT UNLESS TAKEN FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME
