I am 7 days late for my monthly period. I’ve taken a couple of hpt (home pregnancy tests) but all came back negative.

I’m a 39 year old female. I am 7 days late for me monthly period. I’ve taken a couple of hpt but all came back negative. I have a very regular 28-29 day cycle, I’m never late. I am experiencing some early pregnancy symptoms such as frequent urination and bloating/gas. I am not sure what this means. I’ve never experienced this before. Is my period just really late or is it too early to detect anything in my urine?

After age of 35 its possible to start having irregular period
Also make sure urine is not diluted and you are waiting enough time for test results

Hi and welcome to question doctors.com
In your age it is normal to have late periods, the symptoms are common with many things starting from anxiety and stress..
If your period did not came by 14 days or more get a pregnancy test in a lab.

hi,
its too early to say whether its due to pregnancy. Though its a possibility, still ,normal irregular periods are expected at this age. These may be delayed for upto 10 days from the expected date.

Wait for another week,or else get bHCG test done.
thanks

HI
YOU MAY BE PREGNANT BUT ITS TOO EARLY TO SAY THAT. GET THE TEST DONE AFTER 7 DAYS AND THEN DECIDE THE EXACT LINE OF TREATMENT.
