I donated plasma the other day and there power went out . 25 min later they turned the machine by hand to return my blood. My vein was hard about 1 inch long but now 3 days later it’s from my elbow to my wrist hard and hurts and I’m getting bad headaches

Thrombophlebitis mostly
I recommend to go to the ER to check on it , do uS Doppler, and to do blood tests
You should do ESR INR And duplex. US asap ..

This is mainly Thrombophlebitis , there is also risk of infection, I recommend going to ER and do a d dimer test + CBC

this is due to thrombophlebitis,i.e.,inflammation of the vein.
Due to cannula remaining in the vein for a long time or because of not using sterile techniques,the vein may be inflammed.
apply heparin ointment locally.
take anti inflammatory medicines.

The symptoms appear to be due to Superficial Thrombophlebitis that is inflammation of the wall of the vein with formation of a clot..
You should consult a Physician and get a clinical examination done..
If required investigations like Doppler, and CBC can be advised..
As of now do warm compresses over the area..
Apply analgesic gels and take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
