I have been diagnosed with a Chairi Malformation, experiencing a lot of widespread pain is it autoimmune disease?

I am experiencing a lot of widespread pain, especially between my shoulders, also numbness and tingling in my back, fatigue and losing sleep. Also, have a lot of inflammation in my eye. I had blood work done to check for autoimmune disease because of the pain and the inflammation but it came back negative. Can I still have an autoimmune disease with negative blood work? I have been diagnosed with a Chairi Malformation 1 but the Neurosurgeon said it wasn’t bad enough for surgery and that my symptoms did not line up with the Chairi.

Your symptoms could be from
Chairi Malformation because symptoms start to show as you advance in age
Age below 16 shows mostly no symptoms
They start at age 16 to 20
However you should check other possibilitys like neck arthritis which could cause most of your symptoms
Good Luck

Hi and welcome to question doctors.com the symptoms of tingling and pain in your upper back and shoulders are mostly due to the malformation disorder ad it is common symptom..
Check with your doctor if you can get physiotherapy to reduce muscle strain.
Not an autoimmune disease.
Eye inflammation is not related ..it can. Be infection or allergy..

hi
chiari malformation though rare, still is a possibility in this case. other auto immune conditions need to be ruled out before confirming chiari.
thanks

hello there
you are right.
these are indeed signs of an auto immune disorger. consult a physician and get the blood checked to confirm. take medicines immediately to arrest the progress of the disease.
