I have been having bouts of severe stomach pain?

Hi,

I am a 31 year old relatively healthy woman. Recently I have been having bouts of severe stomach pain. I am 50% sure it has a lot to do with the excessive amounts of ibuprofen I was taking for a severe toothache that was later pulled.

The pain is in my upper right side of my abdominal. The pain stays there yet if severe enough, effects my right shoulder and back. There are days that I cannot stand up straight, and find myself doubled over in intense pain with nausea. I checked myself into the ER and had a stool test and blood test performed, however the dr informed me that all of the test came back negative and she prescribed Zantac 150 for GERD which does nothing for me.

I am still in constant pain and have not been eating well. Any idea what this could be?

Symptoms:
Severe stomach pain in the upper center/right side of my stomach
Nausea
Shoulder and back pain (when pain is unbearable)
I have not taken any pain meds/NSAID (besides sumatriptan for migraines) in about 3 weeks

Thanks in advance

For me…Your symptoms are more likely caused by a gall stones/and or gastritis.
İ recommend you start with Abdominal USG ..
Hope this helps.
Thanks

In my opinion this chronic pancreatitis , you need ultrasonography + check ,blood’s amylase or lipase levels ,
i suppose your doctor already did liver function blood test for gall bladder!
Also one last possibility is deudenal ulcer which require endoscopy , yet it is unlikely because you found no h.pylori in stool (you did a stool test !!)

Honestly i can see no other possibilities
Good luck

hi
these symptoms point towards a liver dysfunction.
get liver function tests and usg abdomen done.
digestive juices can help.
thanks

HI
THIS IS DUE TO GERD.
GET GASTROSCOPY DONE .
PROBABILITY OF A HIATUS HERNIA SHOULD ALSO BE KEPT IN MIND.
CONSULT A GASTROENTEROLOGIST.

hi
this is indicative of gall bladder diseases like cholecystitis or cholelithiasis.
A CT abdomen with contrast will be helpful
consult a general surgeon
