6weeks and more is enough period for a bone fracture to heal in your age..
In my opinion a new xray should be done to ensure the healing and its percentage..
In case the range of motion in your shoulder is normal or almost normal with even malunioned fracture is enough functionally if it is not affecting your life quality ..so all you may need then is physiotherapy to maintain best range of motion and muscle power..
Thanks

hi
after 6 weeks of injury and immobilisation,if you have absolutely no pain, then the fracture may have almost healed uptil now.(any fracture usually unites in 30 days)
I don’t think you need any active management at present.
i could have helped you better if you could upload the recent Xray.
thanks

HI
NO PAIN AT PRESENT SUGGESTS THAT THE FRACTURED BONE MAY HAVE HEALED,EITHER PARTIALLY OR COMPLETELY.
A RECENT MRI WOULD CONFIRM THIS.
CONTINUE DOING PHYSIOTHERAPY OF SHOULDER.
NO OTHER ACTIVE MANAGEMENT REQUIRED.

In my oponion If you are describing a humerus bone fracture i am not sure how you miss that on x ray ,UNLESS you had a crack fracrure which usually does not show on x ray till second week
You need to ask him why he needs to re break , is it rotated or healed in an angle?
Both answers means you switch doctor and you always have a choice of ignoring the mal healing if it won t affect your life

Good Luck

hello there
if the doctor says fractured humerus now, then i think you should reconsider mobilisation.
be sure that the fracture has healed completely first by getting a latest xray done.

I go with rebreaking the arm to get the best bone alignment for better movement range of the arm ..

Also you can discuss with your doctor rebreaking the arm versus your quality of life, whether its going to improve it , or the outcome is not gonna be that effective, its gonna be evaluated by ful neurological and musculoskeletal assessement for your upper limb

Take also the physiotherapist advice
