I jumped a fence, punctures in my leg and hand, do I need tetanus shot, ER?

25 year old female. Jumped over fence to save dogs, yoga pants got caught on the two metal pieces sticking up over top of fence. Hole in my leg and cut on hand. Idr last time I had tetanus shot, but thinking it was within past 5 years. Don’t have insurance or primary care dr. Would have to go to ER. Should I?

Wounds are not deep enough to fear tetanus..
Keep them clean..dry ..use betadine always to clean them..
If you are sure you got your last vaccination within 5 years..the fence is clean and not subjected to animals feaces then you do not need to worry..

If you experience fever or muscle spams go to the ER

hi
the wounds seem to be bad and penetrating. go to an ER,get them cleaned, dressed with antispetic creams. get a tetanus shot. start on anti inflammatory anti biotic tablets.
apply ice packs, do not apply hot water
thanks

HI
I DONT THINK ITS MUCH OF A WORRY. JUST DO GOOD ANTISEPTIC DRESSINGS AT HOME. SINCE ITS LESS THAN 5 YEARS FOR TETANUS INJECTION, DONT THINK ANOTHER ONE IS NEEDED AT PRESENT. START ON ANTIBIOTICS

hello there
u should consult a ER. tetanus shot should be taken if the wound was due to rusted iron. wash wounds thoroughly under running water and antibiotic creams.
