I’ve been suffering from pressure and pain behind eyes for almost three years?

I am a 18 year old girl who has been suffering for pressure and pain behind eyes for almost three years. At first it came in periods during the day, but for five months now it has been a constant paind varying between weak and moderate. It is at its worst when I wake up (which makes my mood negatively effected by this) and when I lay flat down. It also hurts severely when concentraiting, and especially when looking up.
I have had no surgeries or been diagnosed for any sicknesses before. I do not have any other symptoms except from getting tired of the pressure, making me having to sleep on daytime.
Do you know what this could be?

There are many causes for eye pressure..an opthalmologic doctor can examine you for the eye related causes.
For me..your problem could be more relevant to sinusitis as it becomes worse when you lye down so this increases the backward flow of fluids Into the sinuses and you cab feel the pressure in your eyes ..
See an opthalmologist first ..

In my opinion you should check for sinusitis
I Do not think you have an eye infection (3 years eye infection would have shown complications by now)
Also the peak pain when you wake up suggests sinusitis and roles out allerg

Good Luck

hi
chronic allergic sinusitis is the most likely cause.
get a CT PNS done to rule out any other causes.
deep breathing exercises can help.
does not seem to be related to eyes.
thanks

HI
THOUGH SINUSITIS SEEMS TO BE THE UNDERLYING CAUSE, WE SHOULD NOT NEGLECT THE POSSIBILITY OF AN INTRA CRANIAL CAUSE.
MRI OF A BRAIN SHOULD BE DONE TO RULE THIS OUT.

hello there
there might be strain over your eyes. examination by a opthalmologist by retinoscope can confirm the diagnosis.
also sinus allergies happen to give similar symptoms.
