My mom seems to have liver disease, seen doctor and had lab work, She is not getting any better?

l am very concerned how the health of my mother whom is experiencing almost every symptom related to Liver disease and she has had HEP C for many years now her condition has progressively gotten worse over the last 6 months. we have been to the E.R numerous amounts of times this year and haven’t gotten anywhere. they say that they are limited to what tests they can perform in the E.R and keep making referrals to family physicians and it’s been a nightmare in trying to get an appointment with one. they’ve only done the standard blood tests that they do and i feel are not taking my mothers concerning symptoms serious. her symptoms include swelling in both legs+ankles, swollen stomach, headaches, severe fatigue, memory loss, confusion, abdominal pain on the right side under her rib cage, dark urine, over all weakness, varicose veins, twice this month she woke up with what appeared to be a burst blood vessel in her left eye and for the past 2 weeks she has been very sick with flu like symptoms including, vomiting, nausea, fever, diarrhea. Approximately a month ago now she experience bleeding from both her vagina and rectum . She is not getting any better, as a matter of fact she is getting a lot worse and I’m very concerned about the Health of my mother and feel like every attempt at trying to get to the bottom of what is going on with her has been a dead end. I am wondering if there is anyway of helping my mom at your clinic or if you could be of any help in helping lead me in the right direction. Im worried that if somebody doesn’t hear me out and try to help my mother SOON that she may not be ok. I’m also hoping you could help me understand these lab results.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hi and welcome to question doctors.com
Your mom’s lab results seems fine and in normal range for liver enzymes..although she is experiencing serious symptoms that needs urgent evaluation and diagnosis.
Anyway these lab results are either untrue or not related to her pathology so I recommend doing an abdominal USG and INR analysis..
Then will following up with further investigations ..
Those symptoms are typical liver dysfunction symptoms and a you need to see a hepatology and endoscopy specialist..
I wish one of our doctors may be having his /her clinic in your area so they can help you.

hi
the lab reports are normal and her liver is functioning properly. the symptoms d not seem to be related to hep C. she may have other blood related disorders or she may be low on immunity. Consult a physician and get other investigations done,
thanks

Hello there
Only liver problem doesnt seem to be an issue. It seems there is involvement of multiple organs. There may also be a hypoproteinemia. Start on protien supplements. Consult a endocrinologist
