Hi I’m (…), I am Fifty years old, I am 183cm and weigh 16stone, I don’t smoke and drink once a week, my medical history is good so far. In the past few weeks I have noticed that my semen was pink in color and the last time I ejaculated two days ago it was very red and had noticeable blood in it. I had my last doctor check up ten months ago and everything was fine. I don’t have any pain urinating nor do I have any discomfort, it is alarming to see this so do I have anything to worry about? Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards
Blood in semen without pain or fever is not alarming in ages below 40 (you are 50 )
However for you i suggest seeing your doctor cuz the pink then red blood sequence
Suggest some duct block
Good Luck
Hi and welcome to questiondoctors .com
Having blood in semen in the age of 50 may be a cause of concern and needs medical attention ..it could be a very benign disorder as Benign prostate hyperplasia or inflammation ..infection..but can be a serious problem also…
See an andrology specialist to get examined ..
hi,
this can happen in prostate abnormalities. It may be benign prostate enlargement or malignancy.
Get PSA test in blood done. Get the semen analysis done.
Thanks
HI
ITS DEFINITELY NOT A COMPLAINT THAT YOU CAN IGNORE. NEEDS DETAILED EVALUATION BY GETTING USG ABDOMEN,TUMOR MARKERS IN BLOOD CHECKED. DETAILED SEMEN EXAMINATION SHOULD BE DONE TO ASSESS ITS CHEMICAL COMPOSITION.
CONSULT A UROLOGIST.
hello there
even a slightest tinge of blood in semen warrants a detailed evaluation.
Renal stones or prostate related issues are more likely.
Bladder cystitis can also cause this.
get usg and blood investigations done. urethroscopy will be helpful
